If I Had a Million Dollars

I woke up on the 14th day of 2016, the end of the 2nd week of the year, and, like millions other people, I was not the winner of the record-setting Powerball.  Yes, on 1/14/16 I was no richer (monetarily) than I was the night before.  But, I have to admit, I played with my office-mates for the last three drawings.  Mainly, I do not want all my colleagues to win and leave me alone in the office. But, I have to admit, I thought about what would happen if I did win a portion of the jackpot.  After the tithe to Church and the paying off of any debts, what WOULD I do?  And, from the looks of my Facebook feed, I was not the only one considering this.  It was interesting and fun to observe people's posts and the comments to see what priorities people have and where they would put their resources and what it might be saying about their priorities in life.  It made me consider Matthew 6:21, actually, one of the Bible verses that many people know:
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

I would like to think that I would be blessed (and not cursed) if I won the lottery.  I hope that I would use the money for good and not be corrupted by outside influences or overwhelmed by people asking me for money (it is hard for me to say no to people...)  It makes me think I am actually lucky not to have won, but man, if I had a million dollars......hey, I know a song about that!
(P.S. pardon the bad video quality of this YouTube clip, but there are not a lot of better ones for this song....)
