On the 16th day of 2016, my daughter spent more time on Penn's Campus than I did. Why? You ask. Because 1/16/16 was the 13th annual Penn Band Extravaganza(!) Day on campus. Alexa, two of her classmates, her friends (the Greenbergs) from North Jersey, and a bunch of other High School students (and Penn Bandos) spent the day rehearsing and put on an amazing concert. They were joined by members of the 78th Army Band who not only rehearsed with the kids, and conducted clinics, but also put on a great part of the concert of their own. It was an amazing day for the kids and an amazing concert for us as well. Always in awe of what Dr. Gupta can put together with his own army of assistants (from the Penn Band as well). Now, I LOVE marches, so I decided I wanted to use a song from this concert as my song of the day. And so, the Colonel Bogey March wins! Alexa and her friends cannot wait for February 20th when the Honor Band will get back together again!
